Each conference addresses some issues relevant to our industry and usually one that is specific to your business or yourself as a manager. These topics could range from sales/marketing to insurance coverage to quality control techniques.

LEGISLATION UPDATES -

We have a specific board member who will actively follow legislation that may affect your business and report on the status of such legislation. Depending upon the significance of such activity, we may invite speakers to give you firsthand knowledge of the status of the bill or law.

SCHOLARSHIPS -

Each year the SFA awards at least ten (10) scholarships to sons and daughters of employees of our member companies. We have been doing this for some time and it is one of the very best things that we can do. That is, providing the opportunity for these students to advance themselves and become useful citizens.

CONFERENCES -

Each year the SFA holds two (2) conferences which provide you with the opportunity to network with other decision makers in the industry and create the forum to learn how others deal with issues that are important to you. Professional speakers at these meetings will also give you a fresh view of many varied topics.

TABLE TOP SHOWS -

Every other year the SFA sponsors a Fall Table Top Show that allows you to meet with many suppliers inexpensively. In addition, the morning of the show, we hold training classes that are geared to educating your front line personnel. Those that take your orders, ship your products and generally are the face of your company to your customer.

NEWSLETTER -

We publish four newsletters a year that will let you know what is going on at that moment so that you don't have to wait for a conference to find out about the status of legislation, for example.

Our library is a strong tool to help the continuing education process of your employees. The library consists of books, videos and cassettes which have been donated by the SFA members. Several of the resources come from the past conferences in which the speaker(s) have donated their material and/or allowed us to video their programs. The material gives new ideas and enthusiasm to increase productivity in your company.
